Emmy and Tony-winner Tyne Daly joins the cast of  "Here To Stay," a Gala evening featuring performances by Susan Graham, Judy Kaye, Anna Christy,  John Musto, Bruce Adler and Vince Giordano, in celebration of  New York Festival of Song's (NYFOS) 20th Anniversary season,  on Wednesday, May 21.   Ms. Daly has graciously stepped in to replace the previously announced Frederica von Stade, who is not able to perform due to family matters. The concert takes places at Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall at 7:00pm, and is followed by a dinner and additional musical surprises at the Rainbow Room at 9:00pm.

The cast also includes Darius de Haas, Karen Holvik, Gregory Utzig, Alan Kay and other artists of NYFOS's past, present and future.  Proceeds from the Gala will support NYFOS programs, in New York as well as national tours, recordings and commissions, and education programs.

Tyne Daly won the Tony Award for her performance as Mama Rose in the 1989 revival of Gypsy.  Her other Broadway credits include Rabbit Hole and Edward Albee's Me, Myself & I.  On television, she starred for seven seasons in "Cagney and Lacey" and six seasons in "Judging Amy."

New York Festival of Song (NYFOS) was founded in 1988 by its co-artistic directors, Steven Blier and Michael Barrett.  NYFOS is dedicated to creating intimate song concerts of great beauty, humor and originality, combining music, poetry, and history to entertain, educate and create community among audiences and performers.  With a far-ranging repertoire of art songs, concert works and theater pieces, its thematic recitals have included programs from Brahms to the Beatles, from the 19th century salons of Paris to Tin Pan Alley, from Russian art song to Argentine tangos, from sixteenth-century lute songs to new music.  NYFOS particularly celebrates American song literature and culture, and specializes in premiering and commissioning new American works.

Concert-only tickets start at $75, and may be purchased by calling CarnegieCharge at 212-247-7800 or visiting the Carnegie Hall Box Office; full gala/dinner tickets starts at $750, and may be purchased by calling the NYFOS office at 646-230-8380
