Transport Group Artistic Director Jack Cummings III has announced that the company's fourth annual "Evening With" series will feature a conversation between Cummings and Broadway legend Tommy Tune on Sunday, June 3, at 7pm at Soho Playhouse, 15 Vandam Street, between Varick Street and Sixth Avenue.

"Tommy Tune's groundbreaking work as director and choreographer has earned him an astounding nine Tony Awards.  In the tradition of Jerome Robbins, Bob Fosse, Gower Champion, and Michael Bennett, Tune is considered to be the last of the great artist showmen with legendary work on such shows as Nine, Grand Hotel, The Will Rogers Follies, A Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine, and My One and Only," state press materials.

Past "Evening With" guests have included five-time Tony nominee Michael John LaChiusa, three-time Tony nominee Jeanine Tesori, and Tony winner John Doyle.

On Sunday, May 20, Transport Group will receive a special Drama Desk Award conferred for the company's "breadth of vision and its presentation of challenging productions."  This is the first Drama Desk Award for Transport Group and follows a host of nominations over the past several years.

Founded in 2001, Transport Group is a not-for-profit theatre company that develops and produces work by American playwrights and composers with the aim of exploring the American conscience in the 20th and 21st centuries.

Tickets are $40 (for general admission) and $80 (for admission and a post-show reception with Tommy Tune) and may be purchased by visiting www.theatermania.com or by phoning 212 352 3101.  Visit www.transportgroup.org for more information on the Transport Group.
