The Town and Country Players open their Family Theater season with Arthur's Stone, Merlin's Fire: the Making of a King by Kathryn Petersen, running from October 2 through October 11 at their venue in Buckingham. First produced at the People's Light and Theatre in Malvern, this tale is an imaginative and exciting retelling of the Arthurian legend. Set in the Dark Ages, the story follows the adventures of Arthur as he became the king of Britain. Once Arthur pulls Excalibur from the stone, he embarks on a coming-of-age voyage of discovery and learns his true destiny. Director AnnaMarie Hughes and producer Nancy Ridgeway invite you to bring the whole family to swash and buckle along with Arthur, Merlin, Queen Morgaine, the Lady of the Lake, Torag the Tinker and Dawg of the One Eye!
