Working for Tips Productions will present the New York premiere of Peter Gil-Sheridan's Top Ten at the Sanford Meisner Theatre from July 7th to July 31st.

Originally produced as a staged reading at Fordham University  in June of 2003, the play is a  "tragic-comedy that follows the story of ten characters, each assigned a number, whose lives are irrevocably intertwined as they fight to live up to social, political, familial, religious and personal expectations," states a press article. 

Top Ten
is produced by Tim Aumiller and directed by Jeff Stanley, with Dionne Audain, Aaron Clayton, Kim Grogg, David Michael Holmes, Lian-Marie Holmes, Lauren Milberger, John Ort, Navida Stein, Daniel Zaitchik and Chris Bester featured in the cast.

Founded in September 2002 by Artistic Director John Ort and Managing Director Elizabeth Huber, Working For Tips Productions is a young arts-based production company striving to provide actors, directors, writers, designers, and producers the opportunity to create and perform in a wide variety of theatrical and media productions while reaching out to a diverse audience.  Previous productions staged by WFTP include Boy's Life (The American Theater for Actors/February 2003), Dose! (co-produced with No Hope Productions at the Kraine Theater/September 2004) and Orange Alert: Sex at the End of the World (The Strawberry One-Act Festival/February 2005).

WFTP "is dedicated to producing an extensive selection of artistic works ranging from readings and showcases to original and published works to film.  Through these productions, WFTP hopes to present professional quality work while still nurturing creative and talented individuals who need assistance in making their voices heard."

The Sanford Meisner Theatre is located at 164 Eleventh Avenue between 22nd and 23rd Streets.

The performance schedule for Top Ten is as follows: Thursdays through Saturdays on  July 7th-9th, 14th-16th, 21st-23rd, and 28th-30th at 8:00 PM, with Sunday matinees on July 24th and 31st at 3:00 PM.  Tickets, which are $15, are available by calling SMART TIX (212-868-4444) or by visiting www.smarttix.com.
