International stage and screen actor Tony Naumovski appears in the backstage comedy MY SWOLLEN FEET by designer/playwright Carrie Robbins, to be presented at the Hudson Guild Theatre as part of The New York Summerfest Theatre Festival.

Mr. Naumovski plays the legendarily eccentric theatre director Jason Gascoigne III, an artist and visionary with a Midas touch, who summons struggling young costume designer Zoey Parnes to his Sutton Place aerie to discuss costumes for his next blockbuster musical. For Zoey, the relationship that follows reveals the light and dark natures of genius.

A multilingual New York based character actor, Naumovski has appeared in over 100 theatre, film and TV productions to global critical and commercial acclaim. His works include speaking in Macedonian, Bulgarian, Serbian, Croatian, Polish, Russian, Romanian, Italian and Albanian. Says TCG's Marcy Arlin, "These days, I think Tony is one of the hardest-working actors in town: film, TV, readings, shows, classes. He can play a thug, a G-man, or a romantic despot, and can sing these beautiful, sad, haunting ancient Balkan tunes that can stop a show."

Among his Off Broadway credits are THE BIRDS (Nat) and WIDE AWAKE HEARTS (C) both at the 59E59 Theaters, and FINAL ANALYSIS (Joseph Stalin) at the Signature Theatre. Of his work in Wide Awake Hearts, New York Times critic Laura Collins-Hughes said, "...Tony Naumovski as C has a pulse of humanity in him, and that automatically makes him sexier and more appealing." Reviewing Final Analysis for Time Out New York, Diane Snyder says, "A scene between Naumovski's bloodthirsty future dictator and Jasicki's dispirited spouse is the highlight of Final Analysis."

Naumovski received two Outstanding Actor nominations from The New York INNOVATIVE THEATRE AWARDS, one in 2014 for Carrie Robbins' THE DIAMOND EATER (Oberschaarfuhrer Dietz), and in 2015 for KENTUCKY CANTATA (Kareem), both presented by HERE.

His film work includes RUN ALL NIGHT with Liam Neeson and Ed Harris, MY NAME IS SOMEBODY (Cannes Film Festival Premier 2017), and WHAT ABOUT US with Jasmine Guy. Television credits include DAREDEVIL (Season 1), BIG DOGS (Winter 2018), IN TREATMENT (European re-boot for HBO, Fall 2017), LAW & ORDER SVU, PERSON OF INTEREST, and ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK.

Naumovski will appear next in FROM HERE TO ETERNITY at the Ogunquit Playhouse.

MY SWOLLEN FEET is directed by Paul Dobie who has been the assistant director of several musicals on Broadway, including ONCE, CABARET, and WICKED, and was the Associate Director of Broadway and National tours of Tony award-winning THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE.

Rounding out the cast are Amanda Rose (WICKED, HOLIDAY INN - THE NEW Irving Berlin MUSICAL) as Zoey Parnes, who is dreaming of her first big break, and Thomas Leverton (RED, HAMLET) playing four roles, including Angela Thornbry, grande dame of the musical theatre.

MY SWOLLEN FEET will run for three performances only: Tuesday, September 12 at 6:15pm, Saturday, September 16 at 8:30 pm, Sunday matinee, September 17 at 1:00 pm.

All performances will be held at the Hudson Guild Theatre, 441 W. 26th Street (between 9th & 10th Avenues).
