Timothy Bloom, K'LA, Wish and Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI), the American performing right organization that represents more than 475,000 songwriters, composers and music publishers in all genres of music and more than 6.5 million works will host "Know Them Now," a mixer and showcase featuring three bourgeoning hip-hop and r&b talents on the verge of mainstream success. The event also serves as a launch pad for two semi-finalists from the BMI "Know Them Now" Facebook contest. A BMI panel picked two performers out of 25 to move onto the Fan voting process and perform at the showcase. One performer will be selected from the showcase and their performance video will be uploaded to BMI's Facebook page for Fans to vote for the Grand Prize.

WHEN: Monday, July 25, 8:30 p.m.

WHERE: Canal Room, 285 West Broadway, NY, NY 10013

EXPECTED: Three auspicious acts:

K'LA:
Born in Gary, Ind., K'LA had dreams bigger than the confines of her small town - even if it is the childhood home of Michael, Janet and the rest of the Jackson siblings. Two years ago, this rising star moved to Atlanta to pursue her dreams. She was using her waitressing money to pay for studio time, when K'La eventually met Music Line CEO Anthony "T.A." Tate at his studio. After performing for him, T.A. signed her to the label last summer. K'La recently released a mixtape, "Coldest Winter Ever," featuring the track "All Your Love," produced by Stephen Marley. Now she's working on her debut album and hopes to keep it as "honest and relatable as possible," she says. "I want to continue to tell my story, give my perspective and be sincere." http://www.islanddefjam.com/artist/bio.aspx?artistID=7446

Timothy Bloom:
Fayetteville, North Carolina native Timothy Bloom, has written and produced songs for both contemporary (Ne-Yo, Chris Brown) and classic hitmakers (Motown legend Smokey Robinson). Now, with geyser-like force, Bloom's pure, natural talents as a singer/musician are gushing to the surface by way of The Budding Rose EP and the video for his sultry lead single, "Til the End of Time." It's the dynamic precursor to the multi-talented artist's forthcoming debut album, In Full Bloom, on Mosley/Zone 4/Interscope. http://www.timothybloom.com/Default.aspx#!all

Wish:
With unbounded creativity and the world at her feet, the artist known simply as Wish is ready to make all her wishes come true through her unique flair, brash image and distinct music style that has already set her apart from her musical peers. Her Motown inspired hit song, "Suga Daddy," displays her confidence and signature style. Wish refuses to label her music style as one specific genre and has teamed with Jive Records, a label home, which will foster her creativity and ingenuity. http://www.jiverecords.com/artists/wish
