October 22, 2013 (Atlanta, GA) The Wilson Pickett Jr. Legacy, LLC is proud to announce the 2013 Leadership in the Arts Workshop. Eighteen students from Atlanta-area high schools were selected to participate in a daylong event at Morehouse College. The student artists will engage in a day of interactive experiences in the areas of arts and leadership. The workshop includes a panel discussion with local arts professionals and a celebrity conversation. Topics include: Emerging Leadership in the Arts, Concepts to Creation and Cultivating Your Creativity. Kenneth Green of Creative Eye Endeavors, will facilitate the Leadership in the Arts workshop. The day long workshops aresponsored by the Wilson Pickett Jr. Legacy, LLC. The Wilson Pickett Jr. Legacy, LLC administrates the Wilson Pickett Jr./Brandon Miller Scholarship Fund and produces theatrical productions in Atlanta and throughout the Southeast.

Based on the students' display of leadership and commitment to advancing the arts in their schools, communities, or personal work, the students' high school administrators or teachers recommended them to be included in the workshop. The 2013 Leadership in the Arts workshop will be held on the campus of Morehouse College in the Martin Luther King, Jr. International Chapel's Hall of Fame on Saturday, November 9, 2013, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm.

The Wilson Pickett Jr. Legacy, LLC strives to stimulate and encourage younger generations to experience the music of a true soul and Rhythm and Blues icon. It is the desire of WPL to inspire young people to achieve their greatest dreams through the Wilson Pickett Jr./Brandon Miller Scholarship Fund. The scholarship fund was established in 2010 to support deserving students who are in need of tuition and fee assistance. The 2012-2013 scholarships were awarded to four high school juniors and seniors. The scholarship fund is an annual and opportunity for high school and college students.
