The Staten Island Children's Museum Hosts Spring Egg-Stravaganza
The Staten Island Children's Museum and Health Plus are again joining together for the Spring Egg-Stravaganza. On Saturday, March 27, 2010 from noon-4 p.m.
Please note: The Museum will open at Noon.
Tons of Fun on the East Meadow in front of the Children's Museum! Sand Sculpture - egg scavenger hunt - springy workshops - bounces - games & races. Families can take pictures (bring your camera) with that large, furry animal with big ears.
After the hunt in the building, kids can create many springy crafts - pencil worms, bunny bookmarks and decorate bonnets and visors for a parade and contest that will conclude the event. Scooter the Holy Cow will be on hand to lead the parade down the path on the East Meadow. There will be dancing too - maybe a bunny hop or two! And our sand sculpting friend Matt Long will be digging in to create some bunnies in his pile of sand.
Kids can test their speed and agility while participating in some games and races, if they don't feel like hopping they can jump instead - there will be a Big Bounce on the Meadow ready for jumping. Kids can have their faces painted with beautiful spring designs or get a temporary tattoo. There will be ice cream and balloons for sale as well free sno-cones while supplies last. The Spring Egg-Stravaganza is a free day at the Staten Island Children's Museum.
