The Shadow Box Theatre is staging Sandra Robbins' critically acclaimed dance puppet musical The Earth & Me on Earth Day, April 22.

Earlier this year, Manhattan Borough President Gale A. Brewer proclaimed a 'Sandra Robbins Appreciation Day' in recognition of Mrs. Robbins contribution to children's theatre, and her extensive work with more than 1 million New York City children from 1966 to 2015.

Mrs. Sandra Robbins says: "I have spent 48 years of my life dedicated to teaching and performing for children, with the conviction that through the expression of our creative spirit we can make change in our world. If we want to keep hope alive and live a peaceful co-existence in this uneasy world of ours, what better place to start than with children?"

To honor Sandra Robbin's vision of inspiring young children through high-quality puppet theatre and dance, The Shadow Box Theatre is staging The Earth & Me at three locations in Queens, Bronx and Manhattan.

The Earth & Me incorporates song, dance, shadow and dimensional puppetry into an inspiring musical about protecting our Earth through peace and harmony. The show was first funded by the National Endowment for the Arts and has been named "Best Event for Families in New York City" by mommynearest.com.

The Earth & Me will go on tour to Jamaica Performance Arts Center, Queens (April 22 and 24), Hostos College, Bronx (April 28) and Symphony Space, Manhattan (April 29 and April 30).
