The Public Theater has just posted an announcement on its Facebook page announcing a "Free For All" this weekend.

The Public Theater will resume all weekend performances and is offering any remaining available tickets for free, beginning at 12 p.m. on Saturday for Saturday matinee and evening shows, and at 12 p.m. on Sunday for Sunday matinee and evening shows. Tickets can be picked up at The Public Theater box office, located at 425 Lafayette Street. Two tickets per person, subject to availability.

"The staff and artists of The Public Theater have responded to the crisis of Hurricane Sandy with the same devotion, passion and tireless work that we have seen in all our fellow citizens," said Public Theater Artistic Director Oskar Eustis, as quoted in the Facebook post. "We are all proud New Yorkers and we want to welcome everyone back downtown by throwing our doors open to the city this weekend; all our remaining seats will be free for all. This last month we have been rededicating Joseph Papp’s Public Theater with a series of events to remind us all of the great democratic mission of The Public. This weekend, free for all, will be a fitting capstone to that rededication."
