The PIT to Present 'YOUR LOVE, OUR MUSICAL' Valentine's Run

By:
The Peoples Improv Theater (The PIT) announced today that Rebecca and Evan: Your Love, Our Musical - where two of NYC's top musical improvisers interview an unsuspecting couple in the audience and create a brand-new musical right then based on the couple's love story - will begin its Valentine's run on their Striker Stage. For a week leading up to (and including) Valentine's Day, The PIT and Rebecca & Evan will offer up the perfect date for couples who love to laugh together.

Rebecca (@rebecca_vigil) and Evan (@EvanKaufman) interview a real couple in the audience for details on how the couple met and fell for each other, because they're nosey. Minutes later they use those details to create a completely improvised musical about the couple's love story, because they're also nice!

Since the show's inception in 2013, Rebecca & Evan: Your Love, Our Musical has delivered its unique blend of sincerity and hilarity to the New York comedy scene. YLOM has featured musicians from Baby Wants Candy, Blank! The Musical, Avenue Q, Fifty Shades the Musical, and played to sold-out houses around the city. It has been a Time Out New York Critic's Pick and made once-in-a-lifetime dates for dozens of couples.

Rebecca Vigil is a musical comedian working clubs and theaters all over New York City, the co-creator and co-star of the two-person improvised musical comedy Your Love, Our Musical and tours nationally with the improvised Broadway musical Broadway's Next Hit Musical. She has also been on VH1's Why Am I Still Single and The Food Network's Giving You The Business. More at rebeccavigil.com

Evan Kaufman is an improviser, writer, and director living in Brooklyn. In addition to performing with Rebecca, he can be seen every Wednesday night with acclaimed PIT house team Gypsy Danger. Evan is also a member of improvised hip-hop collective North Coast (one of Time Out New York's best comedy shows of 2014), a former writer for comedy website OfficialComedy.com, and an alumnus of Boston's Improv Asylum.
