THE OFFSTAGE GROUP invites music educators, musicians and students to take part in the 2010 Complete Choral Musician on June 27 - 30, 2010 in New York City.

JUDITH CLURMAN, an Emmy-nominated, world-renowned conductor and vocal educator, leads this 3-day intensive program in the heart of New York City. Together with today's finest conductors, composers, scholars, choreographers and vocal pedagogues, this unique program will provide a hands-on approach between the faculty and students.

As a participant in 2010's Complete Choral Musician, you'll join over ten famous New York City performers and musicians, among them composers David Lang and Charles Strouse, Broadway artist Victoria Mallory and musicologist Michael Musgrave.

Attendees will be encouraged to perform and conduct for each other; exchange ideas on the current and future choral and vocal trends, participate in discussions and enjoy networking with other successful conductors, music educators, singers and composers. Classes include Conducting, Singing, The Art of Breathing, Sound Design, Managing a Chorus, Meet the Composer...a chance to meet world famous composers including Charles Strouse and David Lang...as well as many others.

Judith Clurman, an Emmy-nominated, world-renowned conductor and vocal educator, is known for her devotion to innovative programming and artistic excellence across a diverse musical spectrum. She was the Director of Choral Activities at The Juilliard School from 1989-2007 and has worked with prestigious orchestras, dance companies, and music festivals across the country and has conducted commissions and premieres by America's most revered composers. She is currently the Vocal Arts Consultant, Coach and Chorus Master for the New York City Ballet.

Strouse has also written numerous orchestral works, chamber music, piano concertos and opera. Founder of the ASCAP Musical Theatre Workshop in NY. Winner of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein Awards. Member of the Theater Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame. His book, Put On A Happy Face: is in its third printing.
