The New York Times to Have a New Theatre Editor?

According to online reports, Rick Lyman will soon succeed Patricia Cohen as the New York Times' theatre editor.

Cohen is reportedlty moving on to a position as a books reporter at the Times, with Lyon soon to begin duties as theatre editor.  Cohen, who will also be responsible for daily book reviews, has been with the New York Times since the mid-nineties as a staff reporter covering film and theatre, among other subjects.  Recent articles include obituaries of Phyllis Cerf Wagner and Robert Altman.

The New York Times' theatre section features, among other highlights, reviews of Broadway and Off-Broadway productions, feature articles, audio slide shows, tickets and listings information, and an archive of past theatre articles.
