On Sept 14th at 7pm, to celebrate the opening of his new gallery The Living Gallery Outpost ( 246 East 4th street) in the east village, artist Joseph Meloy teams up with ARTPROV, NYC's premiere short form comedy group, for a night of art comedy and music. The comics from ARTPROV create songs and scenes based on the pieces hanging on the walls as the artists themselves create a new piece based on the scenes based on their work. An artistic circle of life.

ARTPROV is directed by Rory Scholl ( The Abingdon Theater, NY Fringe) and the cast includes Jason Specland ( The Peoples Improv Theater) Tracy Mull ( BEERPROV) Lee Alan Barreett ( Coney Island Magic) Jamie Cummings ( Accomplice NYC) and Maggie Lalley ( The Magnet) with music by Dan Reitz (Your Love Our Musical). Tickets are $15 and include one adult beverage. Seating is limited https://www.eventbrite.com/e/artprov-comedy-tickets-37338293842?aff=eac2

"Artprov was so funny and original and I was in awe of how fast they were. The finished piece by the artist was very impressive too" Catherine Reid, Michaels Arts and Crafts

The Living Gallery Outpost celebrates emerging and established artists and creators by maintaining an affordable space for artists, supportive programming and community events. They believe that through art and communication love and peace emerge. They seek to create a non-competitive and welcoming environment, where everyone feels equal and celebrated.

ARTPROV has worked with such artists as Subway Doodles, Neil Numberman and Borbay and at galleries in the New Museum, Michaels Arts and Crafts and Disney.
