"Welcome To Night Vale" is a twice-monthly podcast in the style of community updates for the small desert town of Night Vale, where every conspiracy theory is true. The show is presented as a radio show and features notable subjects of Night Vale news, such as local weather, announcements from the Sheriff's Secret Police, mysterious lights in the night sky, dark hooded figures with unknowable powers and cultural events.

The series was created in 2012 by Joseph Fink and Jeffrey Cranor, authors of the New York Times-bestselling novel of the same name, "Welcome to Night Vale." The podcast has been downloaded more than 140 million times since.

"Welcome to Night Vale" mostly consists of longform storytelling. Individual episodes function as standalone narratives and rarely build on one another, giving all attendees a chance to follow along.
