The Hartt School Dance Division Presents TRANSCENDENCE

The University of Hartford's Hartt School Dance Division presents, "Transcendence" the Fall Senior Dance Concert. Performances are Friday, November 2, at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, November 3, at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the Edward C. and Ann T. Roberts Theater at the Mort and Irma Handel Performing Arts Center, 35 Westbourne Parkway, Hartford.

Transcendence is a full evening length show that features the choreography and solo commissions of seniors Samantha Watson, Jasmine Urban, Cameron Whitney and Kelly O'Brien. Each senior has thoughtfully crafted choreographic landscapes in her piece that are sure to spellbind audiences. These works delve into themes such as triumph in love, finding one's own path, physical containment in time and space, and the everyday lives of working people. Professional choreographers Mario Zambrano, Colby Damon, BJ Sullivan, and Emily Schoen have created original solos for each senior dancer that is unique to her in style and challenges her artistic and physical range. Prepare to be transported and to experience "Transcendence."

Discounts are available for senior citizens, students, University of Hartford alumni, and educators and groups. University of Hartford students, faculty, and staff receive one free ticket with a valid University ID.
