The Brooklyn Museum today announces a call to musicians and producers of all genres-from classical to calypso, brass band to bossa nova-to create an original score to accompany the Jane and David Walentas Fountain in front of the Museum.

Participants may email submissions (via soundcloud or yousendit)
to adult.programs@brooklynmuseum.org with the subject line "Score the Fountain." Submissions are due by July 30.

The general public is then invited to come together on Thursday, August 14 at 6:30 p.m. to hear the final compositions in front of the fountain. This event is free. For more information, visit http://www.brooklynmuseum.org/calendar/event/7669.

Especially delightful to children and a popular area where visitors and the local community gather, the Jane and David Walentas fountain runs every day from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. and 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Thursdays.
