After a year-long hiatus, Broadway and TV actor Telly Leung (Glee, Godspell, Rent, Allegiance) returns to the 54 Below stage with a brand new show entitled, "Telly Leung: A Song For You" on Sunday, September 7 at 9:30 p.m.

"Telly Leung: A Song For You" is an intimate evening of music. Each song is a special dedication to the many people who have influenced Telly on his journey on and off the Broadway stage. This eclectic evening of classic songs & personal showbiz anecdotes features music direction by Gary Adler (co-composer of Alterboyz) with Mary Ann McSweeney (bass) and Michael Croiter (drums).

Two-time Tony Award Nominee Robin De Jesus (In The Heights, La Cage Aux Folles) will be a special guest performer at this one-night-only concert.

Besides hearing tunes from the Broadway stage, audiences can expect to hear new and exciting re-imagined arrangements of music from pop artists like Billy Joel, Pink, Whitney Houston, The Indigo Girls, as well as songs from Telly's debut album, {I'll cover you}. Released in 2012, {I'll cover you} is on the Yellow Sound Label (YellowSoundLabel.com) and is produced by Michael Croiter and co-produced by Gary Adler.

"Telly Leung: A Song for You" plays 54 Below (254 West 54th Street) on September 7th, 2014 at 9:30 pm. Cover charge starts at $35 and there is a $25 food & beverage minimum. On Broadway, Telly Leung has been seen in Godspell, Pacific Overtures, Flower Drum Song and the final Broadway company of Rent. He created the role of Boq in the Chicago production of Wicked and was also played Angel in the starry Hollywood Bowl staging of Rent, directed by Neil Patrick Harris. His other theatrical credits include the world premiere of Allegiance (starring alongside George Takei & Lea Salonga), M. Butterfly, Hello, Dolly!, Grease and Titanic.
