Martin Sherman's classic 1979 play about the fate of gay men under the Nazi regime has not had a major New York revival since the original Broadway production. Timelier than ever, it depicts a civilized society's decent into unspeakable horror and serves as an urgent reminder of the need to resist the annihilating force of fascism with the power of love.
