TKTS Downtown Brooklyn Booth Turns Two 7/10

Theatre Development Fund (TDF)'s Downtown Brooklyn TKTS Discount Ticket Booth at 1 MetroTech Center turns two years old this Saturday, July 10. TKTS Downtown Brooklyn offers same-day evening and next-day matinee discount tickets to dozens of Broadway, Off Broadway, music, dance and Brooklyn performing arts events at discounted prices to Brooklyn residents and visitors. In celebration of TKTS Downtown Brooklyn's second birthday, specially designed red TKTS Downtown Brooklyn tote bags, courtesy of MetroTech BID, will be distributed to TKTS Brooklyn ticket buyers on Friday, July 9 and Saturday, July 10.

"Our second year in Downtown Brooklyn has been very encouraging. Ticket sales have increased 50% over our first year as awareness of the booth is clearly encouraging veteran and first-time theatregoers who live and work in Brooklyn to enjoy more theatre at affordable prices," said TDF's executive director, Victoria Bailey. "We thank Brooklyn's elected officials and local businesses for their continued support, with a special thank you to Mike Weiss and his staff at The MetroTech BID for their hard work in support of TKTS Downtown Brooklyn."
