Jordan Scott Gilbert in Association with Ocean Bay Entertainment, Inc. presents the WORLD PREMIERE of The Phantom of the Improv, at Sophie's At Broadway with previews beginning June 2nd.

The brand new, laugh-out-loud comedy, The Phantom of the Improv, is inspired by the classic novel that bears the same name, and is sure to delight Off-Broadway! Audiences join in on the fun as a handsome celebrity, an unsuspecting ingenue and a disgustingly ugly obsessed stalker rewrite The Phantom of the Opera on the spot, fueled by audience suggestions. In this unique mix of improv comedy and musical theatre that's never the same show twice, you'll be laughing all night long.

Directed by Philip Lakin and created by Lakin and Jordan Scott Gilbert, The Phantom of the Improv is based on Gaston Leroux's Twentieth Century novel, which went on to inspire the hit Broadway musical. Using the original inspiration as a road map, we see a mysterious love triangle. A haunting phantom. And an audience full of ideas! Be ready to get in on the act when three musical improvisors rewrite The Phantom of the Opera on the spot, fueled by audience suggestions. Unmasked and unscripted, no two shows are the same in this interactive and entertaining new musical comedy!

Performances of The Phantom of the Improv are scheduled Wednesday-Saturday evenings at 8:00 p.m. Regularly priced tickets start at $35.00 and may be purchased by calling 1-800-838-3006, in person at the Sophie's at Broadway box office or online at www.PhantomImprov.com.
