Svetlana and Her Delancey Five to Bring Holiday Swing to Blue Note NYC

Give it to charming and sultry Svetlana and her exuberant Delancey Five to put a smile on your face this holiday season! The band is back for their twice-a-year appearance in the world most famous "jazz basement" club, the Blue Note - this time with a special holiday program, to celebrate the re-issue of their Holiday EPK (2012) and to perform their brand new Holiday program they are planning to record next year!

So "Prepare to swing and be moved!" (JazzLives) as Svetlana delivers her distinct brand of the "sweet and naughty" (JazzLives) holiday magic in this special New York Holiday Swing show featuring the beloved holiday classics arranged by jazz masters (Wycliffe Gordon) and up and coming band leaders (groups' principal arranger Rob Garcia and also New York's up and coming band leader Danny Jonokuchy), and as well as charismatic "feel good" originals by Svetlana and jazz covers of cheer-inducing modern pop and rock standards.

As always, expect Svetlana and her band to transport the audience to a carnival of sound, from soft introspection to an "exuberant, foot-stomping music combining swing and pop-singer/songwriter sensibilities" (WPIX11TV) fit for the 21st century!

Svetlana and her Delancey Five has been called "Breakfast at Tiffany's meets Some Like it Hot" (Allan Young, New York Music Daily). Led by Svetlana, the "outstanding vocalist and songwriter" (Will Frieldwald, Wall Street Journal), this band has a remarkable affinity for "making Hot Jazz sound cool!" (BlueMonkMoods) and ""bringing the Jazz Age into the 21st Century" (Popdust).

The band has headlined sold-out shows in premier venues and festivals across the US and the world, combining the charm of Svetlana's sultry vocals, the excitement and power of a "little big band", and the intoxicating improvisational aspects of a small jazz group!
