The Cafe Carlyle (located in The Carlyle Hotel - 35 East 76th Street at Madison Avenue) will kick off the fall season with the legendary Elaine Stritch's new show - "At Home at the Carlyle II."
Beginning September 12th (and playing for seven weeks through November 4th), Tony Award-winner Stritch (At Liberty, Company, A Delicate Balance) will once again commute to work (three flights down!) and entertain five nights a week. The all new program was compiled with her longtime musical director Rob Bowman.Steve Tyrell, who enjoyed a sold out Cafe Carlyle debut engagement last fall will return to play a nine-week engagement beginning November 7th. Backed by a swinging big band, Tyrell will fill the room with standards culled from "The Great American Songbook," as well as selections from his many hit recordings, including his most recent CD "Songs of Sinatra.""Elaine Stritch: At Home at the Carlyle II" will begin performances on Tuesday, September 12th and run through Saturday, November 4th. There will be one show a night Tuesday through Saturday at 8:45PM. There is a $125 music charge and dinner (served from 6:30PM) is required.Videos
