Stomp, the international hit show, will make a brief trip uptown on Wednesday April 4 at 3 PM to perform at the NBA Store on 5th Avenue and 52nd Street as part of the store's second annual Spring Jam.  Spring Jam events include basketball clinics, performances, and other events which will take place on the NBA Store's Center Court – a regulation half-court located in the center of the Store.

Stomp plays at New York's Orpheum Theatre (126 Second Avenue at 8th Street).   Created by Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas, the show is currently playing in New York, London's West End, and on North American and European tours.  The show recently played Asia, including Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.  Stomp has toured the world and performed in places and on television shows ranging from Mister Rogers Neighborhood to The Acropolis in Athens to The Academy Awards in Hollywood.

"A unique combination of percussion, movement and visual comedy, Stomp has created its own inimitable, contemporary form of rhythmic expression: both household and industrial objects find new life as musical instruments in the hands of an idiosyncratic band of body percussionists.  It is a journey through sound, a celebration of the everyday, and a comic interplay of characters wordlessly communicating through dance and drum," according to production notes.

Stomp is the winner of an Olivier Award, an Outer Critics Circle Award for Unique Theatrical Experience, and an Obie Award.  Visit www.stomponline.com for US information and www.stomp.co.uk for news on the London and European companies.

Stomp Out Loud, a new production from the creators of Stomp, opens at Las Vegas' Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on April 17.
