About Spoke The Hub

Based in Brooklyn since 1979, Elise Long and Spoke the Hub Dancing have been hailed by the local press and public as "neighborhood treasures" and "cultural pioneers", creating the Living Room Performance Space on 9th Street (1980 - 84); the Gowanus Arts Exchange on Douglass Street (founded in 1985, relocated and renamed the Brooklyn Arts Exchange/BAX, now active as a separate organization); and the Spoke the Hub Re:Creation Center on Union Street (1995- present).

About Old Stone House

The Old Stone House is a museum and cultural center that explores the American Revolution and colonial life, located in the center of Washington Park and JJ Byrne Playground. Part of the Historic House Trust of New York City, our building has a great story -- a Robert Moses-WPA reconstruction of the dutch farmhouse originally built in 1699, the site of the largest battle of the Revolutionary War, and the original home of the Brooklyn Dodgers. We present arts and education programming year-round indoors, and outdoors in our beautiful gardens.

Spoke The Hub presents the 20th Annual LOCAL PRODUCE FESTIVAL, a fun-filled day for families of the creative arts, performance and wellness, with an evening Tango Dance Party from 7 to 10 p.m. at Old stone House and Washington Park, 4th Street & 5th Avenue, Park Slope. The activities run all day June 1 (10 a.m. to 10 p.m.). FREE. For more information, visit http://www.spokethehub.org/perform/local-produce/.
