Special Guests Set to Appear At The Lambs

The Lambs, America's First Professional Theatrical Club, established in New York in 1874, nurtures those active in the arts, as well as those who are supporters of the arts, by providing fellowship, activities and a clubhouse for its members.

Recently, the multi-talented Marilyn Michaels and her son, Mark Wilk, sat down with Lamb Magda Katz at The Lambs to talk about their new book, How Not To Cook, for the Rest of Your Life. Their book is an ANTI-cookbook: equals parts biography, self-help, and scrimp-n'-save philosophy. This laugh-out-loud rant, served up by America's premier comedienne/impressionist, is a no holds barred empowerment-driven read. This humorous tutorial also comes with anecdotes about Woody Allen, Orson Welles, Barbra Streisand, Liza Minnelli, Burt Reynolds, Joan Crawford, Bette Davis, Donald Trump, and dozens more-as well as priceless money-saving advice on curtailing the dollars you would normally blow on trivial things like weddings, summer camps, shrinks, and platform shoes... and using them for hiring a personal chef or housekeeper.

Tonight. Monday, August 13, Mike Reiss, an originator and writer of The Simpsons is giving a talk. This joint event, between the Lambs and Harvardwood, sports a guest list that includes comic Jackie Martling; Cosby producer, Susan Fales-Hill; Norman Steinberg, writer, Blazing Saddles; Dan McGrath, writer, King of the Hill; Alan & Robin Zweibel, writers, Shandling and Saturday Night Live; Jon Anderson, publisher, Simon & Shuster; and WGA officers, Bonnie Datt & Christopher Lowe.

Television personality, Loretta Swit and stage luminary Lee Roy Reams will be at the Lambs in October.
