Spamalot to Offer Gift Bags to 1000 Passing Taxi Drivers

On Monday, March 19 from 11AM-4 PM, Monty Python's Spamalot team members will be offering 1000 gift bags at the Shubert Theatre (225 West 44th St.) to all taxi drivers who pass by. 

Each bag will contain a "Foot of God" air freshener; coconut halves; coconut lip balm; Spamalot CD samplers; snacks including juice, Little Debbie cake and chips; as well as a chance to win tickets to the show in a sweepstakes.

"At long last, Broadway's Spamalot has stepped forward to acknowledge the unsung New York City cab driver.  Sure, we thank them when they return diamond-filled attaché cases or missing Stradivarius violins, but these are the men and women who make sure we get where we're going - especially when we're running for a Broadway curtain," state press materials.

The show is running in on Broadway, in London's West End, on a North American tour, and is currently in previews at Wynn Las Vegas opening March 31.
