Monty Python's Spamalot will send its round table spinning out on a national tour in spring of 2006. Beginning at Boston's Colonial Theatre, the show will play engagements in Chicago, Washington, D.C., and other major cities in the US and Canada, which will be announced shortly.As for announced dates, Spamalot will play The Colonial Theatre from March 7th, 2006 to April 15th, Chicago's Cadillac Palace Theatre from April 18th through June 4th, and D.C.'s National Theatre from June 7th through July 9th.Lovingly "ripped-off" from the internationally famous comedy team's Monty Python and the Holy Grail,Spamalot received the 2005 Tony Award for Best Musical as well as Best Director for Mike Nichols and Best Featured Actress in a Musical for Sara Ramirez, it also won the Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards for Best Musical. The
show's score is by Eric Idle and John Du Prez with a book by Idle, and
in addition to Ramirez, it features Tim Curry, Hank Azaria, Christopher
Sieber, Michael McGrath, Christian Borle and others as its loopy
knights. Produced by Boyett Ostar Productions, Spamalot boasts choreography by Casey Nicholaw, set and costume design by Tim Hatley, lighting design by Hugh Vanstone and sound design by ACME Sound Partners.
