Sidra Bell Dance New York returns to Baruch Performing Arts Center with an exclusive preview of the live music collaboration MÖNSTER OUTSIDE and a new production of the 2015 work Unidentifiable; Bodies from April 27-29, 2017 in New York City. The company is joined by composer Per Störby, Sweden's critically acclaimed band New Tide Orquesta and vocalist Joseph Keckler. These genre bending artists will converge to share an excerpt of the new work MÖNSTER OUTSIDE which will have its world premiere at The Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans from November 17-18, 2017. We are also excited to bring a new production of the dynamic work Unidentifiable; Bodies (2015) in this double bill. The company has had a fantastic year of touring, residencies, and educational outreach that has spanned Sweden, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, Pennsylvania, Boston, Cambridge, Illinois, New Jersey, and New York City. Having reached over 1000 patrons in our travels we are ecstatic to bring the company back to BPAC. The company continues to garner acclaim with each new work. In 2016 The Boston Globe praised the company for being "inventively quirky and sensuously muscular".

Sidra Bell Is A Sought After Educator And Has Won Several Awards. Bell Has Received Many Commissions From Institutions Internationally And Has Produced Over 100 New Works. Her Work Has Been Seen Throughout The United States And In Sweden, Denmark, France, Austria, Bulgaria, Turkey, Germany, Slovenia, China, Canada, Aruba, Korea, Brazil, And Greece. Sbdny Has A Extensive Educational And Mentorship Program Built On Module Philosophy And Works With Institutions For Dance And Theater Internationally With A Particular Emphasis On Young Artist Development.
