Ahoy! Come aboard the Waterfront Museum for our 2010 spring and summer events. SHOWBOAT SHAZZAM 2010 (formerly CircuSundays): New York's acclaimed little big top at sea launches its 14th season of professional performers from around the globe. "TUGBOATS & WATERFRONT SCENES" - Encaustic paintings by Rich Samuelson. Artist Reception May 22 from 3 - 7 pm. Open Boat Tours Thursdays 4-8 pm & Saturdays 1 - 5 pm. Free.

Enjoy a Staged Reading of George Bernard Shaw's HEARTBREAK HOUSE by Brave New World Repertory Theatre. This English comedy takes place in a house owned by a Captain and decorated like a SHIP! June 10. Dinner at 7:30 and Reading at 8 pm.

Celebrate the QUINTET OF THE AMERICAS 30th anniversary with a new commissioned work inspired by the Wildlife Conservation Society's Manahatta Project. The woodwind quintet plans to connect the idea of nature and change with a presentation combining Live Performance, Sound Design, Film and Speech. June 5 at 2 pm. Free.

WATERFRONT BOOK & AUTHORS FESTIVAL - coordinated by Graving Dock author Gabriel Cohen, this event will feature readings, book sales and signings by over 10 authors. June 26 from noon - 4 pm. Tickets $6 at the door.

In late August the Waterfront Museum will team up with The Tugboat Pegasus to visit Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 6 for free programs and tugboat rides.

The Municipal Arts Society of New York awarded the Waterfront Museum its Certificate of Merit for the work we have done to make life better in NYC. The United Nations designated the Lehigh Valley Railroad Barge #79 the "Regional Craft of the Year of the Oceans" for its efforts in opening up access to waterfronts for the general public within the NY Harbor.
