Roundabout Theatre Company will host the "2007 Spring Gala" - a one night only event to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Studio 54.

"The mystique of the unique cultural landmark will be recreated as VIP guests are treated to a gourmet dinner and performances from Broadway's hottest stars at Roseland Ballroom (239 West 52nd St, NYC) on Monday, March 19th, 2007 at 7:00PM," according to press mateirals.  "In addition, Roundabout will present the Jason Robards Award for Excellence in Theatre to the City of New York for its invaluable support in returning two classic theatres, Studio 54 and the American Airlines Theatre, back to Broadway." 

Roundabout Theatre Company's 2007 Spring Gala will begin at 7:00PM.  The musical celebration will be presented throughout dinner which will be served from 7:00-10:00PM.  The musical celebration will be directed by Tony Award-winner Kathleen Marshall and include appearances by Brooke Shields, Jane Krakowski, Audra McDonald, Raúl Esparza, Michael Cerveris, Mario Cantone, Nellie McKay, Alexander Gemignani, Kelli O'Hara, Marc Kudisch, Brian D'Arcy James, Dierdre Goodwin, Megan Lawrence, Peter Benson, and more. 

The Jason Robards Award for Excellence in Theatre is named in honor of the late Mr. Robards and his longstanding relationship with Roundabout, and is bestowed annually upon a professional whose life's work has made an indelible impact on the theatre world. The award is designed by the sculptor and publisher Arthur Carter.  The recipients of this award include Christopher Plummer in 2002, John Kander & Fred Ebb in 2004 and Stephen Sondheim in 2005.
 
Ticket prices are: $1,000 Patron Single Ticket (includes dinner and the musical performance); **$1,500 Benefactor Single Ticket (includes dinner and the musical performance); **$2,500 Underwriter Single Ticket (includes VIP cocktail reception, dinner and the musical performance); **$3,500 Celebrity Circle Single Ticket; (includes VIP cocktail reception, dinner and the musical performance)l **$5,000 Producer's Circle Single Ticket (includes VIP cocktail reception, dinner and the musical performance); and **10-person group table seating also available at this level.

The Gala chairmen are Lois Robbins-Zaro and Steven Schroko.  The 2007 Gala sponsor is The Beaches of Fort Meyers Sanibel.  All proceeds from this event benefit Roundabout Theatre Company's Musical Theatre Fund.
