Seth Rudetsky (Torch Song Trilogy, Seth's Broadway Chatterbox), will take part in a reading of the new play The Lost Art Of Conversation at the Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex, June 4th at 7pm, as part of Abingdon's First Reading series. The play was one of nine finalists for Abingdon's Christopher Wolk Playwriting Prize last year, selected from over 700 entries. The show was also a two-time finalist at The Eugene O' Neill Theatre Center's Playwrights' Conference.

Press notes state, "Written by Ted Sod (Gay Grimms, 27 Rue de Fleurus) and directed by Damon Arrington (Lizards, Beirut, Amuse Bouche), The Lost Art Of Conversation is a bittersweet comedy, which focuses on six disparate characters and the ways in which their lives intersect over a ten-year period. The characters include straight, gay and lesbian interracial couples exploring how both primary and secondary relationships have altered their lives."

The reading will be held at Dorothy Strelsin Theatre 312 West 36th Street, 1st Floor, just west of 8th Avenue in New York's Fashion District. In addition to Rudetsky, the show features Ako (Tea), Kevyn Morrow (Ragtime (London)), Anne L. Nathan (Chicago, Assassins, Thoroughly Modern Millie), Edward O'Blenis (Tall Grass) and Sarah Peterson (Singing Forest).

Admission is free, and no reservations are necessary, but seating is limited; first come, first served.
