Seldes and Leight Sit Down for Theater Talk Interviews, Oct. 7

Actress Marian Seldes and playwright Warren Leight will be interviewed on the Friday, October 7th episode of Theater Talk. The show will air 12:30 AM ET on WNET/Thirteen, and will be re-broadcast on Monday, October 10th at 5 AM ET (check local listings).

Seldes was last seen in the Primary Stages production of Terrence McNally's Dedication or The Stuff of Dreams. She received a Tony Award for her performance in A Delicate Balance by Edward Albee, a playwright with whose work she is often associated. She also garnered nominations for her work in Dinner at Eight, Ring Round the Moon, Deathtrap and Father's Day, and was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for her performances in The Play About the Baby and The Butterfly Collection.

Leight's new play No Foreigners Beyond This Point is
currently being presented by the Ma-Yi Theatre Company at The Culture Project. He won the 1999 Tony Award for Best Play for Sideman, which was also nominated for a Pulitzer Prize for Drama that year. Other credits include James and Annie, Glimmer, Glimmer and Shine and the Broadway musical Mayor, for which he wrote the libretto. A co-executive producer of "Law and Order: Criminal Intent," he has also contributed screenplays to The Night We Never Met and Me and Him.

Theater Talk is hosted by producer Susan Haskins and The New York Post's Michael Riedel.

The episode will re-air on CUNY-TV on Saturday, Oct. 15th at 8:30 PM, Sunday, Oct. 16th at 12:30 PM, Monday, and Oct. 17th at 7:30 AM, 1:30 PM and 7:30 PM.
