The New York Musical Theater Festival, Beth Morrison Projects & New Sounds Theatre present Going Down Swingin' (The Don Giovanni Radio Hour) by Peter Hilliard and Matt Boresi. The musical, produced by Beth Morrison Projects and New Sounds Theatre, is directed by Jenny Lord.

"A boozing, womanizing radio icon is haunted by the misdeeds of his past in this sexy & swingin' comedy, set at the end of Radio's Golden Age.  It's 1956, and caddish crooner Dean Newhouse's variety show is facing a dangerous new foe...TELEVISION.  Dean has abused everyone on his show, including the tragic soap queen, the All-American teen couple, the hard-boiled detective, his wisecracking sidekick, to mention a few!  Dean struggles to keep his show afloat - and his bitter cast from killing him. Going Down Swingin' is set to an original score that draws from the music of the 40's & 50's, to reinvent the story of a controversial classic - Don Giovanni - to startling comic & dramatic effect," state press notes.

Going Down Swingin' features Stacie Bono, Tom Deckman (Spamalot), George McDaniel (Big River), Meredith Patterson (42nd Street), Hardy Rawls, Marla Schaffel (Jane Eyre), Christopher Shyer (Mamma Mia!) and James Stovall (Ragtime).

The creative team includes Peter Hilliard (Composer), Matt Boresi (Lyrics & Book), Maiko Chii (Set/Prop Design), Kate Cusack (Costume Design), Zane Pihlstrom (Costume Design), Burke Brown (Lighting Design), Amy Altadonna (Sound Design) & Casting by Paul Davis & Geoff Josselson.

The TBG Theater is at 312 W. 36th Street (8th/9th Ave.).  Tickets are $20.  Call 212-352-3101 or visit www.nymf.org
