Partly Cloudy People presents Sarah Nedwek's world premiere solo comedy show SARAH SMILES at The Peoples Improv Theater SOLOCOM festival tonight, Nov. 21. This benefit show will raise awareness and funds for Smile Train, a non-profit that provides free cleft surgery to children around the world.

In SARAH SMILES, we meet Sarah Johnson, who is hit in the face with a donkey piñata at her 6th birthday. The early ass encounter leaves her unable to smile and misunderstood by society. We follow her search for a smile and with the help of Hall & Oates, a magical Tootsie Roll and some unexpected empahty, she does. :) Nedwek's credits include Vanda in Venus in Fur at the Repertory Theatre of St.Louis for which she won Broadway World's Best Actress in a Drama and Dolores in Dolores directed by Timothy Koch (Broadway's Cripple of Inishmaan).

Award-winning solo show arts and producer Peter Michael Marino announced this year's 3-day festival featuring 120 brand new solo comedies by artists from across the country, Canada, England, and Newfoundland - from traditional solo show artists to sketch, storytelling, stand up, physical comedy, music, multi-media, improv, cabaret, and clowning.

SOLOCOM was created in 2013 to provide artists a platform to generate and launch brand new comic material. Dozens of shows that made their debut at SOLOCOM have gone on to tour the world and play at various festivals including Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Hollywood Fringe, NC Comedy Arts Festival, Orlando Fringe and more.
