By emmersing the audience in the show, essentially making them a part of what they're watching, they become more involved as their senses are heightened, explains Barrett. It provides a different, more involved experience than sitting in an auditorium watching a show. The audience becomes the show.
FoST was created by book publisher Charles Melcher (with a braintrust that includes Al Gore) to examine the future of storytelling - as it's no longer in books. Some of the biggest creative leaders, like Barrett, present themes they'll address in videos that have just been rolled out:
