Balagan Theatre recently announced that a trio of Broadway powerhouse artists will star in "Carrie: The Musical" this fall: Alice Ripley, Kendra Kassebaum, and Keaton Whittaker as Carrie. Ripley is best known for her Tony Award-winning turn as Diana Goodman in "Next to Normal"; Kassebaum originated the role of Glinda in 'Wicked' on the first national tour; and young local actor Keaton Whittaker starred alongside Angela Lansbury and Catherine Zeta-Jones in "A Little Night Music". "Carrie" is a co-production with Seattle Theatre Group, performed at the Moore Theatre and directed by Balagan Artistic Director and Broadway actor Louis Hobson. "Carrie" features a book by Lawrence D. Cohen (screenwriter of the classic film), music by Academy Award winner Michael Gore ("Fame", "Terms of Endearment"), and lyrics by Academy Award winner Dean Pitchford ("Fame", "Footloose").

The Balagan Theatre/Seattle Theatre Group co-production will be October 11-26, 2013, at the Moore Theatre in Seattle.
