An above-average amount of rehearsals are still scheduled for SPIDER-MAN: Turn Off the Dark as under 30 days remain until the show's currently scheduling opening night of February 7, 2011. We're told that everyone is committed to ensuring that there's no further delays to that date as the show's official opening because the production is aware that will no doubt bring a flood of critics in.

Rehearsals continue this week on the show's finale (with new flying work being run during the day), as well as on other scenes including Peter's apartment, the Labyrinth sequence and more along with understudy rehearsals, costume fittings and other normal occurrences of a show in previews.

Everyone we've spoken to in the cast, including those now doing official press for the show and others are extremely upbeat about the show's progress and all have pointed out that from their vantage point, the audience responses are getting better and better each night as well.

The show has still been stopping almost nightly for one technical reason or another, but all are confident that these kinks will slowly be worked out.

Directed by Julie Taymor and featuring a book by Julie Taymor and Glen Berger, and new music and lyrics by U2's Bono and The Edge, SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark is now in previews at Broadway's Foxwoods Theatre (213 West 42nd Street).
