Women of Letters, one of New York City's most popular literary salons, announces their move to City Winery.

Starting October 19th, 2017, the show will now be performed live monthly at City Winery's 300-seat venue. This marks the salon's first move to a venue with almost double the seating capacity as their former home of Joe's Pub, which was regularly sold out with standing-room only.

"We're thrilled to debut the show at City Winery." Says Producer Trish Nelson. "It's the perfect location as it offers even more room for our fans while still keeping the intimate vibe that Women of Letters is known for."

The most interesting and acclaimed writers, musicians, actors, comedians and politicians appear together on stage at a Women of Letters show, with the purpose of celebrating female talent and the lost art of letter-writing. The shows are funny and sad, and never recorded or filmed - part of the magic is that they exist in the moment, and the events are a safe storytelling space.

On October 19th, acclaimed author, Moth storyteller, and the host of Women of Letters Sofija Stefanovic welcomes guests reading:

"A LETTER TO MY LITTLE LIE"

Together on stage for the first time ever:

Critically-acclaimed author of The Red Car MARCY DERMANSKY

Celebrated guitarist and composer KAKI KING

Beloved host of the Lit Up show ANGELA LEDGERWOOD

Iconic model and co-founder of Urban Bush Babes CIPRIANA QUANN

Accomplished attorney, journalist, and author of Veil RAFIA ZAKARIA

Beloved comedian and actress SASHEER ZAMATA

The show attracts guests of the highest caliber, from all disciplines. Women of Letters veterans include: Molly Ringwald, Elaine Welteroth, Jean Grae, Kathleen Turner, Margo Jefferson, Martha Wainwright, Nancy Whang, Siri Hustvedt, Edie Falco, Susan Orlean, Emma Straub, Alexis Okeowo, Sonia Manzano, Eileen Myles, Suki Kim, Tavi Gevinson, Yael Stone, Amber Tamblyn and many more.

Women of Letters was founded in 2010 in Melbourne, Australia, by writers Marieke Hardy and Michaela McGuire. The show began a monthly residency in NYC at Joe's Pub in 2014, and has now found a home at City Winery for the Fall 2017 season.

Women of Letters is Produced by Trish Nelson's BanterGirl, a Production Company with an honest mission to establish a diverse and creative empire of women, and shine a light on their talents.

Since its inception, Women of Letters has toured internationally to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Austin (SXSW), London, Dublin, Edinburgh, Wellington and Indonesian cities Jakarta, Yogyakarta and Ubud.

Penguin Random House has released six bestselling anthologies of letters from the live shows. Airmail is the first international edition.
