The NEFCA (National Entertainment Fund for the Cultural Arts) will present the 3rd Annual Broadway Purim Shpiel on March 4th at the Hudson Theatre (141 W. 44th St.) at 7 PM.

The show will benefit Taglit-birthright israel, a program that provides young Jewish people with a chance to go to Israel on an educational, all expenses paid trip.

The "Broadway Purim Shpiel" will feature stars from Les Misérables, Jersey Boys, Talk Radio, "American Idol" and more. Seth Rudetsky (Seth's Broadway Chatterbox, Actors' Fund concerts) will serve as host.  The concert will be preceded by a Megillah reading and Purim Lounge at 4:30 PM.

The featured performers will be: Titus Burgess (Jersey Boys), Daniel Reichard (Jersey Boys), Constantine Maroulis ("American Idol," The Wedding Singer), Nina Hennessey (Les Miserables), Christine Pedi (Talk Radio) and Kate Pazakis (Duplex).

"Taglit-birthright israel provides the gift of first time, peer group, educational trips to Israel for Jewish young adults ages 18 to 26. Taglit-birthright israel's founders created this program to send thousands of young Jewish adults from all over the world to Israel as a gift in order to diminish the growing division between Israel and Jewish communities around the world; to strengthen the sense of solidarity among world Jewry; and to strengthen participants' personal Jewish identity and connection to the Jewish people," states the organization's website.
