Rover Dramawers Announces Auditions for Graphic Novelties, 1/3 & 1/4

Rover Dramawerks announces auditions for Graphic Novelties #3 written and directed by Joe Cucinotti.

Auditions:
Monday, January 3 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Tuesday, January 4 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Callbacks, if needed, will be Saturday, January 8.

Auditions will be at Rover Dramawerks' main performance space,
the Cox Building Playhouse, 1517 H Avenue in Plano (parking off of Avenue G).

Brief Synopsis:
Rover Dramawerks returns with another late-night staging of classic comic books. In this episode, titans clash and egos collide with hilarious results when Batman and Superman wind up on the same cruise ship that's about to be targeted by a team of ruthless assassins. Based on Superman #76.

Superman/Clark Kent - Male - Mid 20's to Early 30's
Batman/Bruce Wayne - Male - Mid 20's to Early 30's
Lois Lane - Female - Mid to late 20's
Slade Wilson - Male - Late 20's to early 40's
Butler/Henri - Male - Mid 30's to early 40's
Henchman 1 - Male or Female - Any age
Henchman 2 - Male - Any age
Henchman 3 - Male - Any age
Mystery Man/Henchman 4/Passenger - Male - Late 20's to Mid 40's
Escort 1/Passenger - Female - Early 20's to Early 30's
Escort 2/Passenger - Female - Early 20's to Early 30's
Passenger - Male - Any age

All roles are available.

Other Information:

• Please prepare a 1 minute memorized comedic monologue.

• Be prepared for cold readings from the script.

• A resume and head shot is requested.

• Unlike Rover's mainstage productions, Graphic Novelties is a volunteer project - actors will receive comps, but no stipend will be paid.

• Rehearsals will be in Plano and will begin shortly after casting is complete, rehearsing about two weeks.

Graphic Novelties will run late night (around 10:30 p.m.) on Saturday January 22 and 29 and February 5, 2011 at the Cox Building Playhouse in Plano after performances of Sunday in New York.
