Roger Bart to Host the 36th Annual Intl. Emmy Awards on 11/24

Daily Variety reported yesterday that the Intl. Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has tapped Roger Bart, currently starring in Broadway's "Young Frankenstein," to host the 36th annual Intl. Emmy Awards on Nov. 24 in New York City. Bart was also the host for the awards last year, the talented comic actor has done a number of film and television roles in the last number of years.

Bart won the Best Featured Actor in a Musical 1999 Tony Award for his performance as Snoopy in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown and was nominated in the same category in 2001 for the role of Carmen Ghia in Mel BrooksThe Producers.  Bart also appeared in The Frogs opposite Nathan Lane at Lincoln Center.  He is recognized on film and television from his work in The Stepford Wives and ABC's "Desperate Housewives."

"Law & Order"creator Dick Wolf will receive the Intl. Emmy Founders Award, to be presented by longtime cast member Sam Waterston and newly hired "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" star Jeff Goldblum.

Other presenters include John Waters, Willie Garson ("Sex and the City"), Andrea Roth ("Rescue Me") and Paul Blackthorne ("Lipstick Jungle") reports Variety.

The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences is the largest organization of global broadcasters, with members from nearly 70 countries and over 400 companies.
