Key and Peele writer Rich Talarico is heading to DSI Comedy Theater to kick-off September. Talarico will be at DSI Comedy Theater Saturday September 7th. He will run workshops during the day and that evening he will perform at 9 p.m. His show will be in two parts. The first will be a performance with an all-star cast of DSI improvisers. The second half will be a two-man performance with DSI Comedy Theater founder Zach Ward. The theater is located at 200 N. Greensboro St, in the Carr Mill Mall between Elmo's and Southern Rail. More information about the theatre and tickets are available at www.DSIcomedy.com.
Rich Talarico is a writer, filmmaker, improviser, and teacher whose credits include Key & Peele, Saturday Night Live, MadTV, and The Tonight Show. Rich took his first improv class from Stephen Colbert at Chicago's Second City Theater in 1992. Rich went on to tour with SC's National Touring Company and also co-created five original revues for SC's resident companies. While in Chicago, Rich was also heavily involved at Improv Olympic under the direction of Charna Halpern and Del Close. Rich played on the teams "Mr. Blonde" & "Faulty Wiring" understudied "Dynamite Fun Nest" with The Family and played with the long running "Armando Diaz Experience, Theatrical Movement and Hootenanny." Rich also co-created the long-form shows "Strap Heads", "Trio", "Close Quarters" and "Dasariski."
"We are incredibly excited for DSI to welcome Rich Talarico to North Carolina," explains Executive Producer and Theater owner Zach Ward. "Rich is one of those Chicago improvisers who has done it all. He has inspired a generation of improv performers with his work at Second City and he has made a name for himself working for Saturday Night Live and MADtv, and now as staff writer for Key & Peele, possibly the most influential sketch show on television today."
