Review: MO Lounge at Mandarin Oriental NY for Elegant Tea Service and Much More

MO Lounge, is a one-of-a-kind destination. The chic 35th-floor Sky Lobby restaurant at Mandarin Oriental, New York boasts the finest menus, beautiful décor, exquisite service, and a remarkable, expansive view of Central Park. We visited for their elegant Afternoon Tea service and had a marvelous, relaxing experience. It is served from 12:00 pm to 4:30 pm.  Plan to spend some time at the venue to enjoy the curated, ethically sourced tea selection from Rare Tea Company and delightful sweet and savory offerings. The extraordinary food menu is led by Executive Pastry Chef, Ron Paprocki.  His creative vision for Tea Service pleases all guests.  Items are beautifully presented on a classic, 3-tier server and they include items such as Truffled Egg Salad Royal, Smoked Salmon and Watercress, Confit Duck Brioche, freshly baked scones, along with luscious pastries like the Yuzu-Matcha Tart, Chocolate Layered Granache Cake, Almond Florentine, and Passion Fruit Choux.

The tea selection pairs perfectly with your tasty bites.  Servers are expert at helping you make choices with options that include Jasmine Silver Tip, Tie Guan Yin Oolong,  Japanese Ceremonial Matcha and more.   

MO Lounge’s refined Tea Service is designed to accommodate guests' dietary needs.  Be sure to let them know in advance if you have any preferences or restrictions.  Vegan items are certainly available.
