Review: BRUNO MARS - THE ROMANTIC TOUR at U.S. Bank Stadium

Bruno Mars brought nonstop energy to U.S. Bank Stadium on Wednesday night for The Romantic Tour, and honestly, the crowd was hooked from the second he walked onstage. Opening with “Nothin’ on You” was a smart move — it immediately threw everyone back to the early Bruno days, and the entire stadium seemed to know every word.
The first part of the set moved fast in the best way possible. Songs like “24K Magic,” “Treasure,” and “Perm” turned the place into one giant dance party. Bruno and the band were insanely tight all night, and you could tell they’ve performed together forever because everything felt effortless. The choreography never looked forced, and somehow he still sounded great while dancing around the stage the entire time.
What stood out most was how easily the show switched moods. One minute the stadium was jumping during “24K Magic,” and the next everyone had their phone lights out for songs like “Talking to the Moon” and “When I Was Your Man.” Those quieter moments actually ended up being some of the strongest parts of the night because Bruno didn’t overdo them. He just let the songs speak for themselves.
The Silk Sonic section might have been my favorite part of the show. “Fly as Me,” “777,” and especially “Smokin Out the Window” sounded incredible live. The whole set had this old-school Vegas lounge vibe mixed with funk and R&B, and the crowd loved every second of it. “Leave the Door Open” got one of the loudest reactions of the night.
Another thing that made the concert work so well was how natural Bruno seemed onstage. Some arena shows can feel overly rehearsed or distant, but this one didn’t. He joked with the audience, played off the band, and made a huge stadium somehow feel personal.
By the time he got to the final run of hits — “Locked Out of Heaven,” “Just the Way You Are,” and “Uptown Funk” — the entire stadium was on its feet. “Uptown Funk” especially felt like the perfect closer because nobody wanted the night to end.
A lot of artists can put on a big production, but Bruno Mars is one of the few who can make a stadium show feel genuinely fun from start to finish. No weird filler, no long pauses, just hit after hit and a crowd having the time of their lives.
