'Radio Happy Hour' moves to a new taping time at night on Tuesday June 15th. The new episode will feature Nick Thorburn (aka Nick Diamonds) from Islands (Islands will also be performing a few songs) as well as actor Eddie Kaye Thomas (from HBO's 'How To Make It In America'). The episode will be performed live at (le) Poisson Rouge, June 15th at 7:30pm. Doors will open at 7pm. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 day-of.

'Radio Happy Hour,' the radio show not on the radio, is a live variety show featuring a made-for-radio murder mystery sitcom, guest stars, musical performances, an audience quiz, and interviews with the guests. Past shows have seen Norah Jones as a motel manager; Michael Showalter as the host of his very own cable fitness show; Andrew W.K. as the iconic John Bender character from 'The Breakfast Club;' Tunde Adebimpe ('TV on the Radio') as the founder of a wilderness camp for ineffectual men; Kumail Nanjiani as a ventriloquist with a southern dummy; Craig Finn & Tad Kubler ('The Hold Steady') as brothers and Chuck Klosterman as their dad on a doomed road trip to a small town called Manhattan, Minnesota.

'Radio Happy Hour' has also just released episodes #8 & 9 of the podcast. Episode #8 stars Tapes 'n Tapes, Chris Koza, Jeremy Messersmith, and Geoff Herbach, and will be rebroadcast on Minnesota Public Radio's 'The Current' on June 27 at 9pm CST. Episode #9 starred David Bazan, actor Jesse Eisenberg, and comedian Max Silvestri. There is video at the 'Radio Happy Hour' website of David Bazan doing a special cover of Vic Chestnutt's song "Flirted With You All My Life."

'Radio Happy Hour' is the creation of Sam Osterhout, who also writes and serves as the show's host. "We try to book guests that have personalities that cross at odd angles," said Osterhout, "But there are always these neat little connections. You never know what will happen." All shows are podcast online following the performance. You can hear past episodes of 'Radio Happy Hour,' with guests such as Norah Jones, Andrew W.K., The Hold Steady, Tunde Adebimpe (of 'TV on the Radio'), Cursive, Jesse Eisenberg, Tapes 'n Tapes, Michael Showalter, Eugene Mirman, Chuck Klosterman, and more at RadioHappyHour.com or at iTunes.
