ROCA Presents Jon Burr and Lynn Stein in Concert 3/7
Rockland Center for the Arts is proud to present Jon & Lynn in a special benefit concert on March 7, 2pm. Jon and Lynn perform soulful re-interpretations from the American Songbook, 60's Pop and contemporary jazz.
Jon Burr, acoustic bass virtuoso, has worked with Tony Bennett, Chet Baker, Stephane Grappelli, Barbara Cook and others. Artist/curator Lynn Stein returns to her musical roots as a vocalist. Now you might think that a vocal and string bass duo would sound a bit thin, but let me assure you, it's not at all. This is one of the most musical renditions I've come across in years and I've found myself not only returning to it time and time again, but also recommending it to friends. It's beautiful. What a delight!
