RADIO CITY CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR Tickets to go on Sale 6/13

For the first time ever, the Radio City Christmas Spectacular® starring The Rockettes® will perform in Rhode Island at the Providence Performing Arts Center for 34 performances, November 12 - 28, 2010.

The Radio City Christmas Spectacular® features "The Parade of the Wooden Soldiers" and "The Living Nativity;" both numbers have been performed since the production's debut in 1933. Newer scenes include the Rockette tap number "12 Days of Christmas" and the high-kicking dance number "Christmas in New York," direct from the New York City stage.

Tickets will go on sale on Sunday, June 13. Patrons can purchase tickets in person, online at www.ppacri.org or by phone at (401) 421-ARTS (2787). Tickets are $125, $100, $75, $69, $68, $62, $59, $49, $45, and $39; all ticket prices include a $3 per ticket restoration charge. Please note that the $125 tickets are Limited Golden Circle Seating. VIP Meet and Greet Packages are available for selected performances of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular® starring The Rockettes®.

For more than three quarters of a century, the Radio City Rockettes have entertained millions of families with their eye-high kicks and unparalleled precision dance. Their performances feature unparalleled glamour and thrilling, complex choreography. The world's most famous precision dance troupe has been a legendary force in entertainment, with a history rich in skill and dedication to their craft. The dance troupe first kicked to life in 1925 as the "Missouri Rockets" and made their show business debut in St. Louis, the realization of a long-time dream of their founder, Russell Markert. Since their inception, The Rockettes have strutted their way into the hearts of millions and have made the Radio City Christmas Spectacular® a staple of holiday magic. Indeed, these "dancing daughters" - as Markert always referred to them - have not only persevered for more than 80 years, but are thriving now more than ever.

PPAC, in cooperation with the Radio City Christmas Spectacular®, invites all area choirs to learn more about a very special opportunity to sing two a cappella Christmas songs prior to a Radio City Christmas Spectacular® performance. In order to be considered, choirs must submit a three-to-five minute video by Friday, June 18, 2010.
