Musical Adventures with the Poppy Seed Players, Kaufman Center's series of musical plays for children ages 4-11 about the Jewish heritage, continues on March 20, 2011, with the family musical A Poppy Seed Purim.

This lighthearted look at the ancient Biblical story, in which Queen Esther saves the Jews of Shushan from the evil Prime Minister Haman, brings together delightfully vibrant characters, hilarious comedy and a catchy melodic score. Starring Kathryn Markey as Esther, Sean Hartley as King Ahasuerus, Jason Robinson as Mordechai and Steve Brennan as Haman. Also featuring the Kaufman Kids, a troupe of young performers from Kaufman Center's Lucy Moses School and Special Music School.

This season's Musical Adventures with the Poppy Seed Players concludes on April 10, 2011, with the WORLD PREMIERE of the new Passover musical Shlemiel Crooks.

Tickets: $20
