McNally Jackson Books is set to present "MCNALLY JACKSON LIVE: An evening with Annie Baker, Lynne Tillman, and Emily Stokes" at 8 p.m. tonight, December 17, 2015.

The last variety show of 2015 will be a very merry McNally Jackson Live with Annie Baker, Lynne Tillman and Emily Stokes of T Magazine. Inspired by the Christmas setting of Annie's recent play, JOHN, and by our guests' shared interest in the strange and spiritual powers of inanimate objects, the evening will feature excerpted readings from Annie Baker's JOHN and Lynne Tillman's HAUNTED HOUSES, as well as readings of Nabokov, Von Kleist, and Rilke.

MCNALLY JACKSON LIVE is a weekly highbrow variety show which will gather together a handful of the finest minds in literature, criticism, journalism, music, theater, film, sports, television, art, and beyond for a series of short talks. A poet and a novelist discussing X; a string quartet performing Y; someone unexpected doing some unexpected thing.
